For 9 persons out of 10 concerned*, good design of office areas is crucial for high quality working conditions. In this way, the quality of the lighting has become the one factor that contributes most to the motivation and well-being of office workers.
Lighting must enable users to carry out their tasks in the best possible conditions. Appropriate high quality lighting brings an improved visual perception, and so favours better performance, especially in working environments using more and more IT with screen display.
Ultimately, working in good conditions serves the employer as much as it does the employees: proper lighting makes visual tasks easier, lessens fatigue, reduces accidents and increases work pace, so generating savings in operating costs.
